Set it up

Add it to WordPress in a few minutes

  1. Build your product or open it in your admin, and copy its embed line.
  2. In WordPress, open the page where the configurator belongs, for example “Verandas” or “Aluminium pergolas”.
  3. Block editor: add a block, search for “Custom HTML” and paste the line into it.
  4. Elementor, Divi or another page builder: drag in the builder’s HTML or code widget (the name varies: “HTML” in Elementor, “Code” in Divi) and paste the line there.
  5. Update or publish the page, then open it logged out in a private window and send a test request.

Menu and widget names change between WordPress and builder versions; if you can’t find “Custom HTML”, look for any block or widget that accepts raw HTML.

Example. Your own line is on the product page in your admin, under "Embed on other websites", and on the page you see after building.

In short

To add a 3D product configurator to WordPress, paste the one-line embed into a Custom HTML block (or the HTML or code widget of your page builder) on the product page, then exclude the script from caching and optimisation plugins. Quote requests from that page land in your Next Configurator pipeline.

What it is

A WordPress product configurator is a 3D designer on your own WordPress page where a buyer sets sizes, options and colours, sees a price and sends a request. With Next Configurator you don’t install a plugin: you paste one script line, and the configurator appears where you put it.

Your theme, menus, SEO plugin and content stay as they are. The configurator brings its own 3D model, pricing, AR view and request form.

Where to paste it

Put it where a buyer expects to start designing: under a short intro on the product page, above your photos of finished projects. Avoid sidebars and narrow columns. The configurator needs the full content width to show the 3D model and options side by side on desktop.

What the buyer sees

The buyer stays on your WordPress page. They set width and depth, choose RAL 7016 or anthracite, add louvres, side walls or a ZIP screen, view it in AR on their phone and send the request. The price follows your choice per product: live, “from” or quote-only.

Where requests arrive

Requests land in your Next Configurator pipeline, not in WordPress. Each one becomes a numbered quote in a few clicks, and follow-ups warn you when a request has gone unanswered. Your contact form plugin is not involved.

Things to check

  • Caching and optimisation plugins. Plugins that combine, minify or delay JavaScript can stop the line from running. Exclude embed.js (or the page) from those settings and clear the cache after publishing.
  • User role. WordPress only keeps script tags for roles allowed to post unfiltered HTML, normally administrators. If the line disappears after saving, ask an administrator to paste it.
  • WordPress.com. Check your WordPress.com plan allows custom code before you start.
  • Height. Don’t put the block inside a container with a fixed height; the configurator grows to fit its content.
  • Consent banners. If your cookie plugin blocks all external scripts before consent, mark the configurator as functional so it still loads.
  • Several pages. One line per product page; each line has its own product URL.

Book a walkthrough
Is there a WordPress plugin to install?

No. The configurator is one script line in a Custom HTML block or a builder’s HTML widget, so there is nothing to update when WordPress updates.

Does it work with Elementor and Divi?

Yes. Use the builder’s HTML or code widget and paste the line into it. Any builder that accepts raw HTML works the same way.

Why does nothing show in the editor?

Some editors don’t run scripts while you edit. Check the published page, logged out, in a private window.

Can I use it on WooCommerce product pages?

Yes. Wherever the product template accepts a Custom HTML block or widget. The request goes to your Next Configurator pipeline, not the WooCommerce cart.

Will my SEO plugin still work?

Yes. Titles, descriptions and structured data on the page stay under your SEO plugin’s control.
