A terrace cover configurator that prices roof and sides
Put a terrace cover configurator on your website and buyers design their own roof in 3D, with your prices on every click. You get the request with size, glass, sides, motor and colour filled in.
Every option your terrace covers have, in 3D, step by step
Our Retractable glass roof template ships with 19 options and 26 choices.
How terrace covers are usually priced, and how to set it up
Set these rules once. Every configuration your buyers make is priced the way you would do it by hand.
- Base price from a width × depth table per glass type, not a flat m² rate: the frame and the number of lanes jump at fixed widths.
- Price the opening roof by lanes and panels per lane, because that is where the hardware cost sits.
- Motor, phone app and rain sensor are separate lines. A rain sensor only shows once a motor is chosen.
- Each side is priced on its own: sliding glass per metre of depth or width, zip screens per unit by size.
- Blinds, LED and heaters are per-lane or per-unit add-ons, never folded into the base price.
- Installation as a line of its own, scaled by size, so buyers see what the roof costs and what the fitting costs.

Why a contact form loses terrace cover buyers
A terrace cover is a big purchase built from many small decisions: glass, opening, sides, motor, colour. A contact form asks the buyer to write all of that down without knowing which options exist or what they cost. Most write “price for a terrace cover, about 6 metres?” and you spend the next three emails getting the rest.
The buyer meanwhile is comparing you with a website that showed them a roof in their own colour and a price within a minute. A configurator gives them that, and gives you a request you can quote on. Our guide on how to sell pergolas, verandas and carports online covers the rest of the sales flow.
How to set up your terrace cover configurator
Order the steps the way you would ask on site: size first, then the roof, then operation, then sides, then comfort and colour. Turn off any glass, side or post type you do not sell. Keep things that need a site visit, such as foundations, wall fixing and drainage, out of the configurator and in your measuring visit; buyers can book that slot in the same request.
If you sell into the Netherlands, Germany and France from one catalogue, translate your option names once per language. The storefront, quote emails, quote page and PDF follow the visitor’s language from the same product. Buyers can also place the roof on their own terrace with AR on their phone.
Selling tip: sell the sides in autumn
Terrace covers sell in spring, but sides sell when the evenings turn cold. Mail last season’s buyers with a link to their own configuration and a sliding glass or zip screen option added. They see their own roof with the new side in 3D and can send a new request straight from it.
Where the configurator goes
Paste one line on WordPress, Webflow, Shopify or Wix, or run the storefront on your own domain. Every request fires a Google, Meta or TikTok conversion with its value, so your ads learn which clicks bring real terrace cover buyers. See embeds for the details, or book a 30-minute walkthrough and we set it up with you.
The questions your terrace cover buyers have
- How much more does solar-control glass cost than clear glass?
- What does it look like with the roof half open?
- Do I need glass on the sides, or is a zip screen enough?
- Will a 2.5 m front height still clear my terrace door?
Mistakes sellers make putting terrace covers online
- One “from €…” price for a 3 × 3 m cover that no real terrace ever matches.
- Calling it a veranda, pergola or Terrassendach on the same page, so buyers wonder if they are three products.
- Hiding sides and blinds behind “ask us”, so the quote comes back twice the expected price.
- One translated brochure for every country, instead of the words each market actually searches.
What you get
- The request with every parameter, the 3D screenshot and the price breakdown in your pipeline.
- A numbered quote in two clicks, with Basic/Comfort/Premium options, PDF and e-signature.
- Follow-ups that run themselves: unanswered requests become tasks, unsigned quotes get a reminder.
- A production sheet from the same configuration: bill of materials, cut list and work order.

Questions, answered
Still deciding? We'll walk you through it with your own product.
Book a walkthroughIs a terrace cover the same as a terrasoverkapping or Terrassenüberdachung?
Yes. These are the Dutch and German words for the same product. The configurator, quotes and production sheets work the same whichever term your storefront uses; only the wording follows the language.
Can one storefront serve customers in several languages?
Yes. The primary language is set per store, and the public page, quote emails, quote page and PDF follow the visitor’s language (9 to choose from) from the same configuration and catalogue. See pricing: every language is included.
How does the roof glass work in the configurator?
Glass type (clear laminated, grey tinted or solar control) is a priced option, shown with the price difference so the buyer can compare. If you also sell polycarbonate roofs, start from our veranda model, which offers both glass and polycarbonate.
Can sides be open on some terrace covers and glazed on others?
Yes. Left, right and front are set separately (open, sliding glass or zip screen) and priced per side, so a fully open roof and a closed one come from the same product.
How do I launch a terrace cover configurator across several markets?
Build your configurator from our template in a few minutes, look at the templates and the demo, or book a 30-minute walkthrough. Translating your own option names into each language is the main setup task, not the 3D model.
