Set it up
Add it to Squarespace in a few minutes
- Build your product, or open it in your admin, and copy its embed line.
- Open the page in the Squarespace editor and click Edit.
- Add a block where the configurator belongs and choose Code.
- Paste the line, make sure the mode is set to HTML, and leave “Display source” off.
- Stretch the block to the full width of the section, save, and view the live page logged out.
Squarespace often doesn’t run scripts while you edit, so the block may show a placeholder in the editor. Menu names also differ between Squarespace versions; look for the block that accepts code or HTML.

What it is
A Squarespace product configurator is a 3D designer inside a Squarespace page where buyers set sizes and options, see a price and send a quote request. Squarespace is a common choice for smaller installers and garden room builders who want a clean site without a developer. The embed adds the configurator as one block in that site.
Check your plan first
Squarespace decides per plan whether Code blocks can run scripts. Before you start, check your Squarespace plan in your site’s billing settings or in the Squarespace help pages. If your plan doesn’t allow it, the block shows the code but the configurator won’t load.
Placement
Put the configurator in its own full-width section, below a short introduction and above your project photos. In layouts with columns, give the block the full row; the 3D view and option panel need the width on desktop. On phones the options stack below the model.
What the buyer sees
The buyer configures on your page: garden room size, door and window positions, cladding colour, roof edge. They see the model in 3D, view it in AR on their phone and send the request, optionally with site photos and a measuring visit booked in your calendar.
Where requests arrive
Requests land in your Next Configurator pipeline, not in Squarespace form submissions. Each one becomes a numbered quote with a PDF, an online quote page and e-signature. Follow-ups remind you of requests nobody has answered.
Things to check
- Plan limits. Code that doesn’t run on the live page is usually a plan question.
- Testing in the editor. Always check the published page.
- Consent banners. If your cookie banner blocks external scripts, allow the configurator as functional.
- Allowed websites. If you limited the embed to your own websites, add your squarespace.com address and your own domain.
- Several pages. One Code block per product page, each with its own line.
