Follow-upsLive
The follow-up that never gets forgotten
Automatic follow-ups chase quotes for you: unanswered requests become a task and staff email, opened-but-unsigned quotes get a reminder, and expiring quotes get a nudge.

Unanswered requests become tasks
After the delay you set, a task in the pipeline and an e-mail to the staff member who owns it.
Opened but not signed
The customer gets a reminder in their own language, capped so it never nags.
Expiring quotes get a nudge
Before the quote runs out, not after.
Stops when you step in
Any reply, call or note on the deal skips the automatic reminder.
How it works
In 5 steps
- A request comes in and sits unanswered past your threshold. The system creates a CRM task and emails the assigned staff member (or the store owner if no one’s assigned).
- A quote gets opened by the customer (the online quote page, not just the PDF) but isn’t signed within a set window. A reminder email goes out automatically, in the customer’s own language.
- A quote approaching its expiry date gets a nudge before it lapses.
- Every one of these events (and whether it worked) rolls up into the Results dashboard: reply time, win rate, and which quotes still need attention.
- You set the thresholds once in Settings; after that, nothing needs manual scheduling.

Follow-ups in Next Configurator are automatic reminders that run against your pipeline without you scheduling them: an unanswered request becomes a task and a staff email, a quote that's opened but not signed gets a reminder, and a quote nearing expiry gets a nudge. All visible in the Results dashboard.
What it is
Most lost quotes aren’t lost on price. They’re lost because nobody followed up before the customer booked with someone else. Follow-ups in Next Configurator run on a schedule you don’t have to remember: the system watches requests and quotes and acts when they go quiet.
Why it matters for an installer
A 2–20 person team doesn’t have someone whose job is chasing quotes. This replaces that job with a schedule: the unanswered request that would have sat in an inbox over a busy week instead becomes a task someone sees, and the customer who opened the quote on their phone and got distracted gets a nudge instead of silently going quiet. None of this depends on anyone remembering to check.
| Field | What triggers it | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| Unanswered request | No reply past your threshold | CRM task + staff email |
| Opened, not signed | Quote page opened, no signature in window | Reminder email to customer |
| Expiring quote | Nearing the quote’s expiry date | Nudge before it lapses |
Where this fits
Follow-ups work on quotes created from any configurator request and are visible per product and per rep in Results. See pricing or book a 30-minute walkthrough to see the thresholds set up for your own quote volume.
Questions, answered
Still deciding? We'll walk you through it with your own product.
Book a walkthroughDo I have to write the follow-up emails myself?
No. They’re built in and sent in the customer’s quote language; you set the timing thresholds, not the copy.
What if the customer already called to say they're thinking about it?
Any activity on the deal (a note, a status change) resets or skips the automatic follow-up so you don’t double up on a customer you’re already in contact with.
Can I turn this off for a specific quote?
Yes. Quotes with other activity recorded against them are skipped automatically, and you can manage follow-up status per deal in the pipeline.
Does this work for quotes with a measuring-visit booking?
Quotes tied to a booked site visit are excluded from the unanswered-request follow-up, since the visit itself is the next step.
