Set it up
Add it to Any website in a few minutes
- Build your product from one of the 120 parametric templates, or open an existing product in your admin.
- Copy the embed line for that product. It looks like the snippet below, with your store and product in the URL.
- Open the page template or page where the configurator should sit, usually below the product intro and above your references.
- Paste the line at that exact spot in the HTML. Save and publish.
- Open the live page in a private window, configure a test design and send a test request.
<script src="https://store.nextconfigurator.com/static/embed.js" data-calipy="https://store.nextconfigurator.com/p/YOUR-STORE/embed/YOUR-PRODUCT"></script>
Example. Your own line is on the product page in your admin, under "Embed on other websites", and on the page you see after building.
To add a 3D product configurator to any website, paste one script line where the configurator should appear; it builds the configurator in place, sizes itself to fit, and sends every quote request to your pipeline. If you would rather not touch your site at all, run the configurator as a storefront on your own domain.
What the one-line embed is
The embed is a single script tag that puts your 3D configurator on any page that accepts HTML: a hand-built site, a static site generator, a PHP template or a website builder. It works the same on every platform, because it only needs a place in the page where a script is allowed to run.
The script inserts the configurator exactly where you paste it. The 3D model, your options and RAL colours, the price display you chose (live, “from” or quote-only), AR on phones, the share link and the request form all come along. Nothing about the rest of your site changes.
What the buyer sees
A homeowner lands on your veranda page and finds the configurator inline: drag the width from 4 to 6 metres, pick RAL 7016, add a glass sliding wall and a ZIP screen, and watch the model and the price change. On a phone they can place the structure on their own terrace in AR. When they are done they send the request, optionally with site photos and a measuring visit, if you switched those on.
Where requests arrive
Every request lands in your pipeline as a full configuration, ready to turn into a numbered quote with Basic, Comfort and Premium options. Follow-ups flag requests nobody has answered. If your page already runs Google, Meta or TikTok pixels, the quote request is reported to them as a conversion.
The other option: your own storefront
If your current site is hard to edit, run the configurator as a full storefront on your own domain, for example configure.yourcompany.com. You get product pages, the quote page and the request form in any of 9 languages, with no embed to maintain. Many companies do both: storefront first, embed on the main site later. More on both routes in embeds.
Things to check
- Caching and script optimisers. Tools that combine, delay or rewrite scripts can break the line. Exclude
embed.jsfrom them. - Height. The configurator resizes itself, but a parent container with a fixed height or
overflow: hiddenwill cut it off. Let the container grow. - Consent banners. A banner that blocks every external script until consent will hide the configurator too. Classify it as functional; your own ad pixels keep following your banner.
- Several pages, several products. Use one line per configurator, each with its own product URL. A page can carry more than one.
- Allowed websites. If you limited a product’s embed to your own domains, add each new domain (including a staging domain) before testing there.
Questions, answered
Still deciding? We'll walk you through it with your own product.
Book a walkthroughDo I need a developer to add the embed?
Usually not. If you can paste a line of HTML into a page, you can add it. For templates you can’t edit yourself, send the line to whoever maintains your site.
Does the embed slow down my page?
The configurator loads in its own frame at the spot where you placed it, so the rest of the page renders as before.
Can I put different products on different pages?
Yes. Each product has its own embed line, so the pergola page gets the pergola and the carport page gets the carport.
Does a shared design link open on my own site?
Yes. When a buyer shares their design from an embedded configurator, the link points back to your page and opens with their choices.
Can I stop other sites from copying my embed?
Yes. Per product you can limit the embed to your own websites, so the line does nothing elsewhere.
